About me
I'm Muggshotter, a master procrastinator working for his fun.
I've been an avid video game player for over 25 years, with an interest in fighting games, game design & self-improvement.
You may know me from playing fighting games such as Dissidia or Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, a video I've made or even game music extension.Much of what I do is related to video games, if not inspired by them.
I edit videos for fun, write thoughts about a game, advocate for better learning resources and a healthier mindset. I also study Japanese at N5 JLPT proficiency (which isn't much).I believe in the pursuit of mastery, genuine artistic expression and whimsy.Check out my videos on YouTube!
They're a mixture of skilled gameplay, derivative memes and
elaborate edits with plenty of expression.
YouTube videos
As an editor, I like combining ideas, exploring my own imagination and expressing myself.
Here are some of my favorite video uploads.
Dissidia Duodecim A-Spec. This is a parody of the PlayStation 2 game "Gran Turismo 3"'s license tests applied to an in-game technique in Dissidia 012 that is common in its competitive play.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Combo Video "ALTERNUS". Final Fantasy characters pair up in this 9-minute collection of combo sequences in Dissidia NT with a pinch of artistic expression. Thumbnail by @Ilpheion (Twitter).
Gamblecore, but it's Street Fighter 6. A derivative video based on the viral flipnote animation "Gamblecore" made by raxdflipnote. This also went viral in fighting game circles; Sajam and Diaphone discussed its topic.
A Swordfish to Slay Alatreon. Half montage, half story, this Monster Hunter World Iceborne themed video takes inspiration from my own experiences and the community. Thumbnail by @Ilpheion (Twitter).
Tales of Ghost Wolf Breakfast. A fan interpretation of the characters from the game "Tales of Vesperia", this video takes an idea from a friend's comment on one of my gameplay clips and pushes it to comical lengths.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line - Battle at the Big Bridge (All-Star Carnival ver.) Ultimate / Perfect Chain. This is simply a high difficulty chart in a Final Fantasy rhythm game done without missing a single note. Nothing more, nothing less.
